Meeting the COVID-19 Challenge

Adjusting to the new COVID-19 reality is a common challenge for every health organisation, its staff and consumers and forces us to re-think existing paradigms and priorities. At Earbus Foundation we have significantly increased already high levels of vigilance around hygiene and set up new protocols for ensuring all work environments are regularly cleaned. This includes our Northbridge clinic and all our buses in the Kimberley, Goldfields, South West, SE and Metro regions.

All Earbus clinical and contact staff have renewed hand hygiene certification and updated their qualifications. While most staff have been relocated to work from home those who do attend are having daily temperatures taken, monitored and recorded, including all staff on Outreach trips.

In Term 2 our Outreach trips will continue in a modified format and respect those communities who have asked for no visiting services at this time. No Earbus staff have been released or made redundant and we are hopeful all positions will be retained.
