Kwinana Clinic: A permanent presence in the Kwinana community

On 10 December our new Kwinana clinic - that will deliver vital ear checks and health care to children in the community - opened at the Institute of Indigenous Wellbeing & Sports Offices.

Earbus Foundation Patron, Professor Harvey Coates AO, marked the opening of the Earbus Kwinana Clinic by leading an ENT and audiology clinic.

Our CEO and co-founder Paul Higginbotham said it was important to remember that there are many children falling behind in the greater Perth metropolitan area, not just in regional and remote locations.

“It’s easy to assume that city kids have easy access to all the services they need” said Mr Higginbotham, “unfortunately that’s not the reality.”

The support of Alcoa plays an important role in Earbus delivering vital services reducing the incidence and impact of middle ear disease across the Kwinana, Peel and Upper South West regions.

In May this year Alcoa and Earbus announced a new three-year partnership to expand the Foundation’s reach – providing regular visits to 30 schools across the local government areas of Kwinana, Murray and Waroona as well as parts of the shires of Harvey and Serpentine-Jarrahdale.
