Earbus Foundation and Indigenous training organisation Marr Mooditj have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate placement of student nurses to work with the Earbus Team. Marr Mooditj Training is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code: 0393) committed to providing quality training and assessment services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Marr Mooditj provides trainees access to high-quality training and assessment services in a culturally safe and secure environment on its Waterford campus. The partnership with Earbus Foundation provides students with the opportunity to practice skills and put theory learned in the classroom into intense practice.  By joining the Earbus clinicians on the road, Marr Mooditj students get high quality “at-elbow” supervision and support and the opportunity to look in lots of young ears. This practical exposure of looking in lots of ears helps students build competence and confidence in managing ear disease.

Aboriginal people view health in a holistic context that encompasses emotional, physical, cultural and spiritual well-being.
