Our mission is to reduce the incidence and impact of middle ear disease in Indigenous and at-risk children in Western Australia below the World Health Organisation benchmark of 4%. We will achieve this via our established Outreach programs, which demonstrate excellence in Aboriginal health.

This is a part time position based in our offices at 35 Brewer Street Perth.

GRANTS SUPPORT OFFICER ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Grants Support Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to grow and contribute to the grants program across government, corporate, and private channels.

Reporting into the Manager of Partnerships, the Grants Support Officer is responsible for assisting in researching, monitoring, coordinating and submitting grants. This role incorporates an end-to-end grants process including prospect research, written development, administration and acquittal of funding submissions.

The role will support the maintenance of existing relationships with funders across government bodies, corporate and private organisations and key stakeholders in relation to grant applications, reporting and acquittals as well as build positive relationships with prospective new grant funders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Manager of Partnerships, MarComms & Stakeholder Engagement to identify new funding opportunities with relevant funding bodies such as trusts, foundations, government & corporate organisations

  • Create strong applications for funding as well as reports and acquittals as required using established templates, with opportunity to suggest improvements or enhancements as needed

  • Maintain positive relationships with funding bodies to confirm Earbus’ alignment and basis for application, terms, time periods and reporting requirements

  • Track the grant pipeline calendar for upcoming opportunities and due dates for reports and acquittals

  • Maintain accurate database records and donor files in SharePoint

  • Support the overarching Grants Strategy, working toward reasonable KPI’s 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience in grants administration and management

  • Experience working in a time pressured and sometimes unpredictable and fast-paced environment to meet funder deadlines

  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, namely MS Office

  • Formal qualifications or at least 2 years’ experience in grant writing, grants administration and report writing, preferably in a not-for-profit setting

  • A proven track record in successfully obtaining grant submissions and delivering impactful acquittals

  • Knowledge and understanding of the state and national grants funding landscape, particularly in relation to health

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • A valid National Police Check (no more than 6 months old) or the ability to obtain this prior to commencement

  • A current WA Working with Children Card

  • Current Driver’s License
