HONOURING THE WOMEN OF EARBUS FOUNDATION
Earbus Board Chair Sue Beath, Deputy Chair Dr Carol Dowling & Director Dr Julie Owen
On March 8 we celebrated International Women’s Day and the remarkable achievements of women worldwide. In the third space - where innovation, compassion, and leadership collide - women are driving change in boardrooms, community hubs and female-led organisations like Earbus.
We especially honour Aboriginal women, whose leadership is deeply rooted in cultural heritage and a profound connection to the land. Across generations, they have been pillars of strength, wisdom and resilience, advocating for social justice, reconciliation and inclusivity.
At Earbus, we are proud that half our Board are Aboriginal people, including three amazing Aboriginal women - our Chair, Kariyarra Knowledge Holder Sue Beath; Deputy Chair, Badimia Knowledge Holder Dr Carol Dowling; and Director Dr Julie Owen, proud member of the Nurrunga/Ngarrindjeri Nations. Their voices shape and guide our mission, ensuring better health outcomes for future generations.
