We Go To Rio...

Our new South Pilbara program serving the townships of Tom Price and Paraburdoo and the communities of Wakathuni and Bellary Springs is now being funded by Rio Tinto. We are excited to partner with Rio to put a customised and fully equipped new Earbus into the region along with multi-year funding to ensure program continuity. Despite interruptions caused by Covid-19 we have already done 2 visits to local schools and communities and have follow-up visits re- commencing in July.

Our focus during COVID-19 has been prioritising the safety of Aboriginal children and communities and preserving all staff and jobs, but impacts have been widespread and profound. Earbus has successfully adjusted to the new “abnormal” like many other businesses – working from home, changes to physical distancing, elimination of external contacts and meetings, enhanced hygiene protocols and reduced airline travel.

Honouring Harvey Coates

Earbus Foundation is proud to announce a 4-year partnership with Griffith University in Queensland to create the Harvey Coates Research Scholarship honouring our patron Professor Harvey Coates AO. Earbus support will fund a PhD student to conduct Otitis media research in Griffith University’s Institute of Glycomics on the Gold Coast.

It's May and the Force is with Us...

Perth’s favourite rugby team, Western Force, has named Earbus Foundation as the beneficiary of its upcoming Indigenous Appreciation Match this Friday night against Kagifa Samoa. Force players joined students at Guildford Grammar School to hand-paint their boots which will be donated to raise funds for Earbus Foundation.
